Undisturbed nature

The 1969 damming of the Lauwerszee all went according to plan. Yet no one could have predicted that the area would become one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful nature reserves with its own combination of sweeping views to the horizon, beautiful flora and fauna and abundant space found nowhere else in the world.
