Beyond the emerald sea wall, the grey, green and yellow salt marshes of the Wadden Sea. Unlike the North Sea coast, there are no sandy beaches here, just muddy channels and green areas with special plants and countless birds. Look far into the distance, while the salty sea scent mixes with oily clay and rich mud. Geese honk from the grass as others fly in to forage after crossing the North Sea. You could sit here for hours. Guided mudflat walks give you an even closer look at this unique nature reserve.
